Subhagya Raval

Some designers shape spaces. Subhagya shapes the way people experience them.

With over 19 years of practice spanning landscape architecture, urban design, and infrastructure planning, Subhagya founded Lanarch Studio with a singular belief — that thoughtful design has the power to make places more human, more resilient, and more alive by having a creative dialogue with the earth.

A graduate of CEPT University with a specialisation in Landscape Architecture, she further deepened her expertise through an executive programme in Landscape and Infrastructure of Smart Cities at Erasmus University, Rotterdam. Her practice spans projects of varied scale and typology — from intimate villa gardens to large-scale urban masterplans — across India and internationally.

Beyond practice, Subhagya is a committed voice in the broader conversation around liveable cities. She is an Associate of My Liveable City — an international magazine, think tank, and knowledge platform — and has served as Hon. Secretary of the Indian Society of Landscape Architects (ISOLA), Mumbai Chapter. She also serves as a Juror for the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF), recognising cities and communities at the forefront of innovation.

Her passion for the discipline extends into education. As an Associate Professor at Vivekananda Education Society's College of Architecture, and through personal mentoring of architecture students, she is actively shaping the next generation of design thinkers.

Subhagya founded Lanarch not just as a studio, but as a platform — one that designs, teaches, advocates, and imagines what our cities and landscapes can yet become.
