This project was a visioning exercise for a comprehensive campus development, where the primary focus was on balancing ongoing activities with a future-oriented design plan. Our goal was to create a nature-centric, incremental development strategy that considered both short-term and long-term growth.
We conducted an in-depth analysis of the existing layers, including grading, vegetation, building functions, and structures of historical or family importance. By understanding these elements, we were able to propose a thoughtful, phased approach that integrates the site’s natural features while ensuring flexibility for future needs.
Our recommendation was to adopt a mixed land-use plan that would cater to varied target markets, providing opportunities for the client to attract different user groups and ensure the sustainability of the campus over time. The design will not only serve current functions but also evolve to meet the demands of a growing and diverse community, fostering both environmental and social resilience.
